As you may remember from earlier posts, the Active Minds Healthy Campus Award recognizes and celebrates U.S. colleges and universities that are prioritizing health and demonstrating innovation and excellence in promoting student well-being. These schools provide inspiring examples of what is possible when students, staff, faculty and administrators from across an entire university work together so that every student has the opportunity to thrive.
Active Minds is proud to announce that Cornell University is a winner of the 2015 Active Minds Healthy Campus Award, which recognizes the University as one of the healthiest campuses in the nation.
Cornell was recognized for its cohesive, innovative public health approach to student health and wellness. Active Minds and a national panel of expert reviewers conducted a comprehensive, multi-stage application process for evaluation.
“Cornell has made great strides towards creating a campus environment in which student health and well-being are recognized as a foundation for academic and life success,” said, outgoing University President, David Skorton. “Our faculty, staff and students join us in fostering a healthy educational environment and in making our campus a healthier, safer, more inclusive and caring community.”
