Remember in the movie Elf when Buddy the Elf explains to everyone that the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear? Well, a group of talented musicians has decided to listen to Buddy’s advice—but instead of singing to spread Christmas cheer, they are doing it to spread the Active Minds mission to end the stigma around mental health!
What better way to spread our mission than through song? New songs, home recordings and old favorites from Marisa Nadler, Lady Lamb, La Sera, Dum Dum Girls, Burger Records alumni, veterans of the Boston music scene and more will be featured in this magnificent compilation album titled One Hundred Thousand Voices.
You may be asking yourself why the album is called One Hundred Thousand Voices. The answer is that one hundred thousand is the number of voices these musicians want to hear raised to end the stigma around mental health! They already have fourteen voices recorded on this album and now the question is: Will you sing, too?
